I haven't watched Top Billing or any of it's sister programs in years since they probably clash with prime time viewing on MNet. I wasn't even aware of the existence of Top Travel until tonight when I visited the Top Billing website. Apparently I haven't missed much as it's the same "let's gush over the home of some nouveau riche yuppie" week after week. To be honest, I have visited some of the featured homes in my personal capacity and they are a lot more impressive on television than they are up close. Not that I would look a gift horse in the mouth if someone offered me one of the homes as a gift mind you.
Whilst there was nothing new in terms of program content, I did notice the cute presenter of Top Travel, Angelique Schoeman. This blonde bombshell has it all: beauty, brains and talent. Angelique hails from Pretoria and has featured in a number of television commercials as well as achieving success on stage and in the performing arts.
She has studied the guitar, has reached an advanced level in ballet, has excelled in hip-hop dance (South African colours), won the lead role in a local production of Grease, and has recorded two CDs in Afrikaans. Since 2001 she has been a Group Training instructor with Virgin Active and is a specialist in hip-hop dance, body conditioning and sports aerobics. She is also a regular on the Miss Fitness and Miss Bikini circuit, and has a number of titles to her credit.
A school cheerleader and prefect at Waterkloof High School in Pretoria, Angelique matriculated with distinctions in Business Administration and went on to study Law at the University of Pretoria. In 2005 she was on the Dean's list for exceptional students and in 2007 she completed her LLB and joined the Law Society of the Northern Province, completing the Board Exam and the Conveyancers Exam.
Does this young lady sound like an over-achiever or what?
