The Grapevine Express is abuzz with the news that twice former Miss SA finalist, Matapa Maila, is going to try one last time to win the Miss SA title. She is the reigning Miss Earth SA.In 2005 she placed third in the All Black Top 3 at Miss SA, and followed that up with a Top 12 finish in the 2007 edition of the pageant. In 2008 she won the Miss Earth SA pageant, but followed that up with a non-placement at the international event.
Will she be another Tansey Coetzee (third time lucky), or will she be a Roberta Alessandri (three Top 5 placements without a win)? Let's wait and see.
