It's no great secret that the Cape Town stunners are no longer interested in the Miss SA pageant. I am told that it is becoming increasingly more difficult to pique the interest of local beauties and get them to enter the pageant.
One of the reasons for this is that they do not want to spend a year running around pretending to be the "most beautiful girl in the country" at the expense of a lucrative modelling assignment with a leading brand or company. Another is that their agencies advise them that the title is no longer a plus on their resume and those who enter view the title as a last-ditch attempt to garner fame.
The truth of the matter is they would rather stay in Cape Town and wake up to this
than move to Johannesburg and wake up to this.
