South Africa's Bokang Montjane failed in her bid to win the Miss International crown in Chengdu, China earlier today. She was also excluded from the Top 15 at the pageant featuring representatives from 64 countries around the world. Diane Webster remains South Africa's only semi-finalist (1965) in the 49 year history of the pageant.The crown went to Miss Mexico, Ana-Gabriela Espinosa, who was also a semi-finalist at Miss World 2008. The runners-up were Miss Korea and Miss United Kingdom. Laksmi Rodriguez could not sustain the now-famous “Venezuelan Three-Year-Cycle” and win the pageant when she only made the Top 15.
