Ankita Mohapatra was crowned Pantaloons Femina Miss India East 2011 on February 13. Ruhi Singh and Smrity Singh won the first runner up and second runner up title respectively. They will advance to compete in Femina Miss India 2011 this April.
Daughter of Bhubaneswar based Dr Saudamini Mohapatra and Sangram Mohapatra, Ankita has been bright student throughout her school and college career. Twenty one year old Ankita Mohapatra after completing her B-tech in Electronics and Telecommunication engineering, she decided to give pageantry a shot as she always nurtured a dream to be a model. And there she was at the Gladrags audition and before she knew it she one among the final 22. What followed next was victory. Besides winning the main Gladrags Megamodel title, Ankita also won the Gitanjali Most Beautiful subtitle.
