After more than a week of guessing and speculating, the official list of semi-finalists for the Miss South Africa 2009 pageant has finally been published. Courtesy of the Miss SA website, the semi-finalists are pictured above.My personal favourite is Tamsin Groom. She is 18 years old and stands 1,75m tall. I doubt that she will appeal to the organisers since their idea of the perfect Miss SA is an independent, free-thinking pageant dinosaur in the mould of the current title-holder.
Thank goodness 18-year-old Margaret Gardiner competed before the current regime took the reins or we would still be without a Miss Universe.
