Dalia Fernandez, from Santiago de los Caballeros, was crowned Miss Dominican Republic 2011 during an event held on March 8th at the Renaissance auditorium of the Jaragua Hotel in Santo Domingo.
The 21-year old beauty, who was crowned by outgoing queen Eva Arias, stands 1.76 m tall and will represent the country at the Miss Universe 2011 pageant in Sao Paulo, Brazil, next September.
The 1st runner-up was Miss Santo Domingo Norte, Katherine Cruz; and the 2nd runner-up Miss Distrito Nacional, Kirssi Abreu. Both beauties will compete at the Miss Continente Americano and Reina Hispanoamericana contests.

Completing the Top 5, were Miss Peravia, and Miss El Seibo. Reigning Miss Universe Jimena Navarrete was part of the judging panel and was in charge of asking the questions during the interview round.

21 year old Miss Santiago, Dalia Cristina Fernandez Sanchez was crowned as the new Miss Dominican Republic 2011 or locally known as Miss Republica Dominicana 2011 beauty pageant held on March 8 in Renaissance Auditorio de Festival del Hotel Jaragua, Santo Domingo. She was crowned by Miss Republica Dominicana Universo 2010, Eva Carolina Arias Viñas.
Standing 5'10" tall, Dalia Fernandez will represent Dominican Republic at Miss Universe 2011 beauty pageant to be held on September 12 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Miss Hispanoamericana RD 2011 or the 2nd run-up was Miss Distrito Nacional, Kirssi Abreu Pineda. She will enter the Reina Hispanoamericana 2011 contest.
3rd run-up place went to Miss Peravia, Evaida Lorena Santana Mateo. She will compete at Miss Supranational 2011 competition in Plock, Poland.
And finally, the 4th run-up was Miss El Seibo, Luz Aura Goico Ortiz. She will enter Miss Intercontinental 2011 pageant.
