Miss Venezuela, Hannelly Quintero, was crowned Miss Intercontinental in Minsk, Belarus earlier this evening. Hannelly was the Venezuelan delegate at Miss World 2008 in Johannesburg. She placed in the Final 15 and was named Continental Queen of the Americas.At the pageant in Minsk, the other countries to make the Final 5 were Belarus, Puerto Rico, Poland and Curacao. Whilst observers will argue that the contestant from the host country was awarded a token second place, Miss Belarus deserved her placement in my opinion.
South Africa's Jezelle Kruger did not make the Final 15.
