The next semi-finalist is Anja van Zyl. Anja was the choice of the celebrity panel back in 2008 and, therefore, was named 1st Runner-up at the pageant. Anja is 1,82m and lives in Cape Town. Will she be an Amy Kleinhans (second, then the winner), Avumile Qongqo (second in consecutive appearances) or an Olivia Scrooby (second, then a non-finalist)?
I'm not convinced that she will win the pageant, but I definitely expect her to make the Top 12 as one of the 5 "European" finalists this year. She is tall, and has "presence", but she has a very generic look and will not make the Top 15 at Miss Universe. None-the-less, she should be in the Top 12, perhaps even make the Top 5 again at Miss SA.
